Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Prepare muffin pans with paper muffin liners.
  2. In large glass bowl, prepare angel food cake mix according to package directions. Add red food color to prepared mix stirring gently to blend.
  3. Spoon batter into muffin liners filling to top of liner. Bake for 11-12 minutes until done.
  4. To frost cupcakes, place frosting in plastic bag or pastry bag and squeeze bag to dispense onto each cupcake until complete.
Cream Cheese Frosting
  1. Remove cream cheese from refrigerator for 15 minutes to bring to room temperature.
  2. Blend softened cream cheese with mixer for 2 minutes on medium. Add Cool Whip to cream cheese blending until smooth. Add almond extract to frosting and blend.
